The MLP x The Complex writer-in-residence programme was aimed at early-career visual arts writers based in Ireland, to help writers develop their practice by inviting them to produce up to five new responses to the exhibitions and events programme at The Complex in Dublin.

The Complex was a multi-disciplinary arts centre in Dublin's north inner city, committed to providing arts to all people and space to artists for all art forms. The MLP x The Complex residency was supported by the Arts Council of Ireland from 2024 – 2025. The Complex is now closed.
