About us

Mirror Lamp Press is a digital publishing project that explores the intersection of art and literature through newly commissioned work of artists and writers.

The project aims to publish writing on and around contemporary art and literature that is well-researched, thoughtful, surprising, playful and sometimes experimental. MLP is committed to working with writers in an open, receptive, and dedicated way that embraces their authorial voice. It is co-edited by Gwen Burlington and Eoghan McIntyre and designed by Paul Mulgrew.

If you want to receive the latest issues and stay updated about upcoming events, open calls, radio broadcasts, launches, and uploads, we encourage you to sign up for the mailing list. In today’s digital landscape, where social media platforms are governed by prescriptive algorithms, the mailing list is the most direct line to what we do. 

From 2021 – 2025, the activities of MLP were supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. In 2026, our audio issue, made in collaboration with Culture File will air on November 1st on RTE Lyric FM. All other activities are on hiatus for the foreseeable future.
